Do You Stick To Your Word?

I always stick to my word when I tell someone something but in my life, I experience that "no one" ever sticks to their word with me.
It does not matter who it is.
Why do people not stick to their word all of the time? Every now and then it cannot be helped but all of the time? Why?

I stick to my word but others don’t sometimes they come up with lies to break their promises.

Right. I run into this all of the time. It gets on my last nerve. I would rather someone tell me no or the truth even if I don't like it than to lie and not stick to their word. It isn't hard.

A handshake used to mean a lot but you cannot even trust that anymore.

I do stick to my word. I always feel bad if I don't end up sticking to my word. I always give a valid reason when I can't. stick to my word.

@stephcjh This is true. I try to keep only those I can trust in my life though. I'm too old for drama.

I can't abide with people that can't keep their word. I always do what I say I will do.
