Clean me

So the door, the four walls, and the ceiling of our living room bathroom is all mirrors. No matter where you look you can see an infinite amount of yourself. This is the way it was when my parents bought this house. It may be cool to look at yourself and see yourself everywhere, however, I don't get for the life of me why someone would do such a thing. Too much to clean. And if there is a crack in any of the mirrors it's hard to fix. There actually is one on the bottom wall behind the toilet. It was made by a plumber when he was fixing the toilet. I am sure not intentionally. Though I remember my dad telling me that after he cracked the mirror he ran away and didn't even wait to get paid... There are also some glass shelves in the bathroom. I've not dusted them in a while. Wednesday, hubby's brother came over for dinner. I went to the bathroom when he was here and saw CLEAN ME written on all the dusty shelves that could be reached. I think he is the one that had done this since he used this bathroom more than once. As soon as I saw this I dusted the shelves but not because he told me to clean the shelves. Seeing CLEAN ME written on them was bugging me... Shame on me for not dusting the shelves for a long time but he shouldn't have done what he did. Maybe he thought it was funny... But it wasn't funny to me.

I sometimes feel the same way. Actually, my working station is calling my attention and I will do it soon.

I'm sorry to say, but I would have done the same thing. And for the love of God why would someone put mirrors on the ceiling of your bathroom? Don't you know those are reserved for the bedroom? LOL

@lovebuglena I agree. I would have been like you. I would have kept the door closed. I don't know that a (bathroom) house of mirrors would be a good selling point.

@moffittjc The wall in the living room where the bathroom is is all mirrors too. Those people that sold us the house were nuts. In the house all big closets have sliding glass doors. Or perhaps that's mirrors as you can see the reflection of yourself in them. The bathtub has sliding glass doors. The wall in the main bathroom (where the tub is) behind the toilet is all mirror. Where the bathroom sink is all walls around it are mirrors. Downstairs underneath the staircase the wall is mirrors.

Mirrors everywhere but the floor. And my parents bought this house like that and didn't wanna change it. Funny thing is when we had people come over to look at the house, back when parents were trying to sell it, dad would leave the bathroom door open so when people would walk up the stairs they'd see it straight away. I guess he thought this would attract them to the house. if it were me it would have the opposite effect. And perhaps the potential buyers weren't thrilled about it as no one gave an offer.

That does seem a lot of cleaning to do. I remember when I used to clean houses for a living. One gentlemen, a very high up corporate exec had his giant bathroom all mirrors..I had to get ladders to clean it. It was bigger than the whole of my floor space where I lived.

I can't bring myself to clean the mirrors in that bathroom. Even if I do clean it won't be all the way to the ceiling. Can't reach that far. If this was my own house I'd demolish all the mirrored walls.

I think it is rude to do this. I wouldn't find it funny at all.

Me too. I would never do that in anyone else's house.

Is that the brother that makes snide remarks about your not working too? He's so rude.

He doesn't make those remarks anymore but yeah, that's him. I doubt it was hubby that wrote clean me.

The mirror thing would seem... Weird to me as well... Not sure if that would be my thing at all. Hammer time.

Imagine you are in this bathroom taking a leak and you see yourself in all directions... How would you feel?

@porwest At least you won't have to worry about missing the target.

@lovebuglena Gosh. I don't think I would like that at all. That would be...awkward.

I think that was rather rude, but as you say, perhaps he did it as a joke.

Good that you got the house clean and in order. I am bad that way I only have a two-room apartment but often let things go because it is more fun being online or I have writing work to do online and then after I am too tired to clean,

I did not. I just wiped those few shelves with the clean me writing on it. But I do have to force myself to clean as hubby won't do it.
