The First Bicycle Made Me Think Hard…LOL

I am not sure if you had seen the first bicycle that was invented in 1817. It was created in Germany. I thought the Chinese were the ones who invented it. If you can see in this photo, it doesn’t have pedals or a chain. How to use it? It is very simple. People should push their feet on the ground to move. Are we that lucky for not using it now? @stephcjh I agree. It is better to push a shopping cart than this.

I believe the first one as we know it was developed in 1885. That bike is too funny!

I did not know. I guess I need to search further about it. I assumed that it was cool to have it in 1817.

@DianneN I agree. The inventor must be sleepy in creating it at that time.

This remind me of The Flintstones, if you get the reference.

@Shavkat I love this cartoon a lot when I was young. Sometimes all of them would move the car together. Image: Pamgrout

It would be a lot of work to ride that bicycle.

I also think it is cool to see it in a museum. I wondered if they still exist physically.
