Worms in the bher fruit

The bher fruit tree yielded a good amount of the fruit and we all enjoyed them. But since the last month we find worms in the fruit. I assume that started after there was a heavy shower. It is sad that we cannot eat them any more. Is there a solution to this?

@crossbones27 Yes worms are a meat source.

Yeah that is the thing about true fruit from the wild, be careful of the worms. I get scared of green apples at the grocery story. It could have a worm.

Perhaps you can make jams out of it. You can use the unaffected by worms.

There is nothing much in there for making jam. It is a tiny fruit just meant for eating with a huge seed inside

@allknowing I think it is best to dry and plant them. What do you think?

@RebeccasFarm A quick look showed different types of worms on the surfaces but the bher fruit has them right inside - almost invisible. The inside of the infested fruit (zoomed) shows a reddish surface whereas a healthy one will be white.

Here, almost all fruit trees are baited to prevent fruit fly.

We do not see anything. The fruits fall down looking healthy and only when opening that we spot the infestation and there again they are so tiny that they are almost invisible.

@allknowing That sounds like our fruit fly. You can see nothing on the outside and it's only when you open the fruit you see the little worms.

@JudyEv Where do you see the fruit fly. We have tiny yellow butterflies that ruin our fFcus palm and that we can see.
