Jail House Times

United States

I was thinking about a show I heard about it's called Worlds Dumbest Criminals. I have never seen it but I would love too. Which brings me to another question, where you live, do you all have or see a paper called Jail Hose Times. In the paper and areas surrounding there is a list and photo and what crime they had committed. The reason I asked is because where I live, there's one and its called jail house times..I sure would hate to get arrested for a crime, and have my picture plastered in the paper, and people talking about me. Do you have such a paper in your state or surrounding areas.

No, we don't, but it might make criminals think twice.

It does. You can find out about where you live, and surrounding counties.

No, I do not believe that there are any lists such as this. When my brother's ex-wife was living with a guy who had been to jail for abusing women, and my Dad found out, his lawyer told him that the guy paid the price for his crime and although there was a stipulation that he not live with another woman, nobody checked up on him.

@popciclecold It is sad, but they have to receive mail or have the lease in their name at the residence in order to prove that they live there. He was just a free-loader, and my ex-sister-in-law wasn't mentally stable. With that knowledge of his past, my Dad was able to instruct my brother to make sure that the visitation rights for the kids and their mother had to be supervised. That meant that the kids would not be exposed to that monster. The kids are in their late teens and early 20's now, and they seem to be doing alright, given what they have been thru. They lived with their Dad and had little to do with their mother.

We don't have that. We don't even know some of the faces that appear on the newspaper. They love to cover up their face.

I did watch a little of the World's Dumbest Criminals. It is a funny show. The county next to us has a similar page in their paper where people who do stupid things in the midst of a crime are featured. My favorite is when someone decides to rob a store after it snowed and the police follow the footsteps to the criminals home.

No, we don't have that here. I think the criminals here have still private lives.

Well, if you get caught here, your photo and crime will be in the paper.

No, we don't have that here but it could be a way to make them feel some shame.

We have nothing like that, but perhaps we should - it might act as a deterrent to would-be criminals.

I think it would. I think it would be a lot more crime if it wasn't for that.

Our paper has a page that mentions the person's name and the crime they committed but no picture accompanies it. I used to look but never knew anyone in it.
