Maybe it is funny but nowadays specially during the pandemic. But when the kids ask for help in their homework, I feel bare without my laptop with me.
It seems my power comes from my laptop.

I do not mind the phone, I prefer the laptop.
what makes you feel incomplete?
Some women I know feels bare and incomplete without their lipstick or eyebrow or foundation. Some without their phone.17 people like this

I feel bare when I don't have a book and my purse with me. Right now my cat looks bare without her collar. My mother took off her collar.

@rakski My uncle's cats didn't have collars on so she thought Lily would be one with the pack of 3 cats. She (Lily) is still getting used to the other 3 cats.

I have just a couple of feature phones that I use only for voice and messaging . I rely totally on my desktop and that makes my day

You know I have never developed an attachment or adiction to technology. While I rely on my computer, I can fuction without it. Same with my phone. I don't think I know the answer to that. Because I've lived through power outtages where we've been without eletricity for a week. I've delt with being broke wi scrambling to pay bills. I've been there, done it.

I can understand how you feel. Looking at me, you'd think I was attached to my laptop. But, I can walk away if I have to. I also grew up watching technology evolve into what it is today. Machines get thinner and lighter. So, I know what it's like. @rakski

For me, it's my phone. If I leave the house to go somewhere, like to run an errand, and I forget my phone, I am a complete wreck. I feel lost without my phone with me at all times.
