Day 210 Promise 675 Hebrews 10:35 Cast not away, therefore, your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. 36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. (KJV) Every day you throw away things that no longer have value or benefit you. However, there are things you need to hold onto. You might not see the value or benefit now, but it’s there. The writer to the Hebrews told them not to cast away their confidence because it had a great reward. He told them to have the patience to do the will of God and He would reward them. As Christians, you don’t always know that what you do will benefit those around you. In those times, you need to let go of your doubts and fears and rely on God. You know God will never fail you. He will give you the courage to carry out His work. You need patience and confidence as you do God’s will and He will reward you for your faithfulness. His promise is eternal life. Let’s pray: Father, give me confidence in the work I do for You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 9 March 2021 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

The author of the letter to the Hebrews was unlikely to be Paul, as many scholars suspect it. It must be written by someone who might be an apostle or someone closed to the apostles during the great persecution of Christians in Jerusalem when James fell from the walls of Jerusalem.

It wasn't Paul. Paul always states his name at the beginning of the letter. He was also the apostle to the Gentiles. I've heard it could be Peter or James. No one really knows. Have a good day.

@just4him i think the author of the Letter to the Hebrews was most probably James. Peter is unlikely because he was not schooled. The letter of Peter was probably done by a secretary in his behalf.

@Junbals None of them were schooled. You know that by reading Acts with the Holy Spirit experience. The only one who was schooled was Paul.

What is confidence in the light of God, and his love? Confidence, in a scriptural setting, or in its spiritual meaning, is faith in God, and having the confidence in ourselves to back up the trust in our heart. Trust in heart,and/plus confidence in mind, equals faith in its totality in us.
