Too pretty to be a container for tablets

Here is another of my trinkets. I bought this in Singapore and bought a second one slightly similar for my sister. It is hinged behind the saddle so the top half lifts up. I guess it is meant to be a pill box although it’s a bit large to be put in a pocket. I have a couple of other pretty pillboxes but most people I know need multiple containers. Vince has long, narrow containers which have four compartments. Thank heavens he only take pills morning and night. Do you have a special system to manage tablets? That’s if you take them of course.

That is very nice, Judy. I like it. Yes, I have a box that has a row of compartments on one side for daytime tablets and a row on the other side for evening doses. (I just took my morning tablets.)

Vince has tablets twice a day so two of his compartments don't get used.

@JudyEv My container has seven compartments on both sides so I can set up a week's worth of pills at once.

This is really too pretty to be used as pill box. I would keep it as a decor. My husband has a simple pouch with two compartments that he uses as his pill box

We don't use it for pills. It sits on a shelf with other little ornaments.

I suppose it might hold a couple of rings but there isn't much room in it. I don't use it for pills either.

What a gorgeous little container! Although I would feel bad 'pulling its head off' to get at the contents Thankfully I haven't got to the stage of needing any tablets yet.

@JudyEv On a more serious note, I know you can get chewable ones (calcichew I think?)

I should be taking calcium and/or magnesium as I'm supposed to have osteoporosis but they're big enough to choke a horse. Nameless says she pulverises hers and has them that way so I might try that.

@JudyEv I love the picture of the horse. I am not a horse person but love to watch horse shows. I have been on my medication for a long time so know when I am supposed to take them. Some I take in the morning and others after I eat my 2nd meal then that is it for eating for me for the day. If it is a fast day I still take the medication but no drinking anything with it.

I don't have to take any medication but Vince has tablets night and morning. They are kept in little plastic containers.

@Hannihar Not really. There are four little pockets so I put his morning ones in one pocket and his evening ones in another. His pill regime is not as complicated as some people's.

I don't require pills on regular basis. I take 2 of them for last last 10 days for my vertigo. I thank almighty for that. Your box is indeed pretty to be used as a pill box.

I don't take medication, but my husband does and he uses a daily pill organizer to organize his medicine. You cna probably find other small item to store inside, like buttons or even coins.

It's too small really to hold candies. And not even a very convenient pill-holder but it's pretty so that compensates for all its other shortcomings. lol

It is pretty, but I agree not practical to be put inside a pocket. I have a small pill box (it is inside my handbag) where I keep two or three Ibuprofen just in case of a sudden migraine when I am outside.

I have a couple of others but even they are a bit bulky. We always have Ibuprofen somewhere nearby when we're travelling. We get aches and pains from time to time and need something to help.
