Summer holidays

I was surprised at work today, we had an email asking us to schedule this year holidays until Friday, 12 They should have warned us about this last week so we could had some more time to think about it. With the pandemic, we still don't know how this summer will be, I think it is too soon to schedule this year holidays. I want to spend some days at the beach and it would be great if we could travel. I also want to have some holidays on Christmas. I need to sit down and discuss this with my husband. Do you already know how your holidays will be this year?

@LadyDuck it is the best you can do. Have you and your husband taken the vaccine?

We don't really travel anymore. Pretty has agoraphobia so can have panic attacks if we get too far from home. I'd like to spend some time at the lake this summer but... *sigh* We'll probably spend our time at home, like we usually do.

@nela13 I understand and don't doubt that a bit. I hope you'll be able to take them places again before the summer is over.

@DaddyEvil we don't know how the virus situation will be in the summer. If it doesn't calm down we will probably stay at home.

No plans yet because of the pandemic. That would be nice to go to the beach this summer.

With the pandemic it is difficult to make plans. We will try to go, even if we take daily trips.

Yes, I think it's too early for people to plan a vacation.

It's impractical to make holiday plans with the virus still rampant. I doubt I will go anywhere this year.

The worst is that you will have paid time off from work. For me, it's too soon to plan anything, but I am definitely visiting our son and grandkids after my 2nd vaccination.

It is too soon for me too but we must think about it, even if we end up staying at home if the virus is still very active.

Right now, I don't have any plans, but that could change. Thankfully, I'm retired so I can leave if I want to.

Being retired is a bit like being on permanent holiday. If the pandemic ever ends, we'd like to go to Melbourne and Ireland to see our sons.

I would imagine that it would be hard to plan ahead since we don't know if traveling will be possible (like last year). If you schedule your time off can you change it at a later date?
