Hello! I’ll post more detailed stuff later this week but just wanted to say hello from sunny Tucson, Arizona. We have landed in the final part of our trip today, the “relaxing” city part after spending the last 3 days doing. LOT of hiking in the desert. We did my longest single hike to-date: 12 miles! And it was totally draining but felt accomplished afterwards.
It is sunny and 70 F here currently. Having a seltzer and relaxing for a little bit before finding something to do for the evening.
Attached will be a pic from hiking earlier this week. I love those tall Saguaro cacti!

So fortunately no predator like animals. I keep going to desert locations and I have not yet seen a bobcat, javelina, mountain lion, coyote, tarantula, scorpion... All I saw were birds, a couple bunnies, and many lizards! Oh, a few small cockroaches LOL!

Decades ago I saw a coyote and also a tarantula @maezee When dad bought mom the house in 1959 one of the first things we heard at the front door was a rattler, but she slithered away when mom stomped the floor by the door and a few days later we had a tarantula crawling up our screen door, talk about being freaked out. Well, I did see another one in 1985 but they don't attack the way the movies make them out to do. Still, I don't want to see another one.

Have a great time on your vacation! I need to get back to Arizona. The only time I was there, I just drove through it on the way to California.
