I Am Selling Myself to..

...students online. It has been more than seven years now. I tried my best to gain their trust in every first meeting in class. As they said, 'The first impression is the last impression.' I must say that it is a good phrase to guide the salesmen in every industry. A person who is providing either goods or services, he or she needs to sell himself or herself to his or her target markets. Does it make sense to sell oneself to gain potential clients in a good way? Have you ever tried to sell yourself? Image Credit: highvelocitysales.files.wordpress.com

I'm glad you clarified to whom you sell yourself and for what purpose. Otherwise, you might have gotten some... interesting proposals... Even on myLot we sell ourselves to those who don't know us and, in small ways, to those who already do know us here. Mostly I present myself as a jokester and that usually fits what people here want/need most.

It is hard to sell oneself but it can be enhanced. Here in myLot, it is difficult to capture the attention of myLotters sometimes. I agree that we sell ourselves here.

@Shavkat Hmmm... you're in a very serious mood today. Is everything okay with you? Is there anything I can do to help you? Some people don't need to work very hard, or at all, to capture attention. Some people on myLot are "stalked" either because they are nice people we like to interact with or because they can make us laugh.

@Laurakemunto Yes, laughter can enhance health and raise our spirits. I'm glad you have enjoyed some of the comments I leave here and there on myLot.

i guess that's alright, many people do that. i'm still showing my real colors and the kids i was teaching liked it, even though it wasn't "perfect" i don't know how it's going to be like in future, when i actually have to find a job and keep it

Being a virtual teacher, it is not advisable to show true colors with the students online. It is a big NO unlike teaching in a classroom type.
