Daylight saving time begins again on Sunday, March 14, when most Americans will move their clocks forward by an hour.
On Nov. 7, 2021, daylight saving time will end again and we'll set our clocks back by an hour in those regions that observe DST.
These fall and spring clock changes continue a long tradition started by Benjamin Franklin to conserve energy.
In the summer months, the sun is out for longer periods of time, so we have longer days to enjoy.
Some states have changed the rules and are not observing the time change. We will spring forward here, as they say.

I wish we followed one time all year round.

I don't envy everyone who has to spring forward. Never have been able to wrap my head around the concept. We just don't do it here in Arizona (except for the Navajo Nation, which makes sense because their territory extends into other states that do observe it).
I really only pay attention to when it is these days because it affects when I can trade stocks.

There is a bill in Congress (AGAIN!) to have DST all year round--I am for that!

As far as I am aware, we will do the same.
It is havoc on the body to get used to the time change.
We gain an hour of sleep, correct?

@ScribbledAdNauseum We move the clocks ahead, so we lose an hour.

We will spring forward this weekend also.
And twice a year, now and in the fall, there will be the usual groans and complaints that the time changes are no longer necessary, but they are happening, so people need to get over it and just change their clocks.

I just don't understand why Congress doesn't abolish DST. It serves no purpose anymore. They really need to vote that thing out of existence.

@CarolDM But we still need Congress to abolish it altogether.

Yes, Michigan still observes this Daylight savings time, I'd rather they'd leave our time alone.

I remember back in the days before connected clocks when spring forward and fall back were hard. Remember which clock was correct!!!! now, just let your cell phone connect, and boom you know the correct time.

@CarolDM times are different. I do still have three clocks that don't autocorrect. but 3 isn't the 12 we used to have.

I just like to "replay" the time change again and again. Apart from that, it's not very interesting.

I remember doing it when I stayed in US. It sounded very interesting to me in the beginning. But on deeper thoughts, I guess it is not much of help. Maybe it can be seen just as a tradition with no real benefits.
