About ready for dinner... But I want a burger and fries! But I cannot have a burger! Why do you ask? I am a Roman Catholic, it is Lent and I cannot have meat on Fridays... I just do not know what to have for dinner... We do not have any fish in the freezer. So, I guess I should prepare Acapulco Tuna Salad. What do you have for Lent on Fridays, especially if you do not have any fish? photo by pixabay (can you tell that I really want a burger and fries?)

We usually eat fried "bangus" which we buy from the Asian store. In the morning, we have eggs and canned tuna. When it's not Lent, we have burgers sometimes for dinner.

@Spontaneo It's my wife or daughter who makes it but I think the eggs are simply stirred and mixed with the tuna on the frying pan.

What about plant based meat? It's not allowed on Fridays as well?

I never think about it and do as I want. I have both a frozen flounder fillet and frozen burger in my freezer. I can have either. I also have tuna. Growing up my parents raised me as Lutheran and for years every Friday we had fish even when it wasn't Lent,

I am a Roman Catholic but I still eat what I want on Fridays. We had beef soup today.

I am not Catholic. And I can do without meat every day actually. Salads are good.
