Ice Gola

It will not be long before I yearn for ice golas and other cool stuff as summer is round the corner. Took me back to my childhood when the gola guy would ring the bell and we kids would rush and circle him. Most would go for multi flavours although there were some who wanted just one flavour This guy showed his generosity and refilled our glasses with the syrupl. Those were the days. Do you like ice gola?

Not sure what it is, but it kind of looks like what we call a snow cone here. I am not much into sweets anymore, so I don't crave this sort of thing.

We have shaved ice here or known locally as ais kacang or ABC (air batu campur) It is sells in a stall and the machine is quite heavy to be moving around.

It's one of the fond memories of my university days. We enjoyed it on our campus in Delhi University. There was this popular gola wala outside our Hindu College gate. He was always surrounded by students.Made a good business.
