Brendel Loves Her Dynamite

A funny thing happened today. Brendel used to love this toy she is playing with in the photo. She used her back claws to scratch at the toy. Taken back in 2012. I rotate their toys, since their attention span is about five seconds it seems.
This Dynamite toy (suppose to look like a piece of dynamite) has ben carried out in the screen room many times by Brendel. She finally got tired of it. So it went into the storage box with the others.
I went through some of those toys today and found a few I thought the Dude might like. He immediately went for the Dynamite. And has enjoyed it all day.
When I first got it, there was catnip in it, another reason Brendel loved it at first. I might order a new one since the Dude seems to really like it.
I will get pics later of the Dude and the toy. They are so entertaining.

Chickie & Binx barely play with toys. There's a little felt gift box with catnip in it that I swear my friend bought them three years ago. They still have it.

@CarolDM I think kittens love to play with toys, but the older they get the more they just want to prowl around and sleep.

Dynamite toy I hadn't heard of this one. Nico's toys never last very long..if they do, he isn't that interested in them. I think next time I go to the store I will get him some more catnip, and maybe saturate one of the toys in it or spray them.

For some reason cats love catnip, it's a comforting scent I believe.

@CarolDM it really makes a difference. That you rescued them is critical. That they are happy and thriving is even better!

I switch toys with my fur babies too all the time.
I read catnip is really a good help.

Brendel is such a beautiful cat. I used to enjoy watching our cats play with catnip toys (back in the day when we had cats).
Now we don't have any cats and my daughter brought her two dogs with her when she moved back in. They always have their toys scattered all over the place.

It's so funny that you actually get to put the toys away when they get tired of them. With a dog, especially with stuffed toys, they don't last more than a day before the toys are gutted and destroyed! lol Cute picture.

G makes the kitty noise when the birds are feeding. B never did that. Do your babies make that noise?
