So let me just say, if you haven't seen his retirement announcement that he had posted on Instagram yesterday, you really need to see it. Drew Brees decided to let his kids announce his retirement to the world and I swear it was just the cutest thing ever and needs to be watched. For fans however, it was a sad day and the end of an era. Drew Brees has played in the NFL for 20 years and 15 of those years has been with the New Orleans Saints. He's 42 years old and has the record for the all time leader in career passing yards, second in td passes, and second in completion rating. More than what he did on the field though, he will be remembered for everything he did for the New Orleans. He's been donating and helping New Orleans in notable times such as Katrina and when they were hit with COVID. He will not be leaving football completely though. He has a gig with NBC as a broadcaster set. So Brees fans will still get to see him, just in a different capacity. I'm not a Saints fan but I have mad respect for a good team. Brees has been a part of this team for as long as I can remember and his retirement is like an end of an era to me. A chapter closed. We will miss seeing him on the field but I can't wait to see what he does next. I have no doubt that he will rock that broadcasting job. New Orleans fans, how are you feeling this morning? *picture from google, info from ESPN

That would be end of an era well played. He would be definitely missed by his fans. Though I am not aware of him but surely he sounds like a tall figure there. And seems that he was a hero even outside field. God bless him.

I hope he has a long and happy retirement, with no issues from all of these “concussion” issues that have plagued a lot of other football players. I always like to see a top-notch athlete go out on his own terms.
