My grandpa appeared in my dreams...

I no longer have any grandparents left. Been that way for some time now. Recently, my maternal grandfather appeared in my dreams. The first time he was sitting on something, in a crouching position, sleeping. Then he woke up and entered the kitchen... That's all I can recall, except that in the same dream my mom was missing... She had disappeared and no one knew where she was. The second time he was in some kind of bed, hooked up to some tubes, and he wasn't well. We couldn't figure out what was going on with him... I wonder why he is appearing in my dreams and what it can possibly mean. Have you ever had people appear in your dreams that have long passed?

I have a sixth sense and a close contact with the world beyond, I can just tell you that your grandfather is checking in on you and possibly trying to tell you something but I am not sure what that could be. One guess is that since you saw him being ill perhaps he is warning you that someone you know will become ill.

Oh. I hope no one I know will become ill.

@lovebuglena I sure hope that doesn't happen but do keep a lookout if anything unusual occurs

I often see my mother and my father in my dreams. In the past my father tried to communicate with me, it was when my mother was still alive. I remember I was so shocked about a dream, I asked to my brother (he is a doctor) to have mom checked and she had a stomach cancer. She had surgery and recovered, just because it was found at an initial stage.

@lovebuglena Yes, he showed me that if I did nothing she would have joined him soon, I was so scared.

So your father was warning you that something is not right with your mother?

I want to say I have, but I can't recall the details. I remember swearing I saw my father in my dream, (details remain elusive to this day) but I remember I woke up with a start, to learn what I already knew.... he had passed. Literally moments before I woke up.

@lovebuglena It didn't really phase me. I knew he was dying, he had been for as far back as I could remember. I also knew when my mother passed a year-and-a-half prior. It was calming to know, instead of having to be told.

Yes, my parents, my friends, my maternal grandparents. They do visit me in my dreams once in awhile.

@lovebuglena They said they’re visiting and probably just want to be remembered. But i don’t really believe. I think it’s because subconsciously we miss their presence in our life.

I wonder what it means when those that have passed appear in our dreams.

I remember reading somewhere that we all dream regularly but we just don't always recall that we dreamt.

Yes. My mother passed away back in the 80s and appears in my dreams from time to time.

@lovebuglena - They usually are pleasant but they are also unusual like I am in an environment where I am not normally. In a sense, I guess if you're in a strange place it's a good thing to see a familiar face.

Yes. Many times it's comforting and a happy dream. Sometimes, if it's my in-laws, it's very stressful.

If only all the dreams those that passed appear in were happy and comforting.
