Bleach Leaked While Doing Laundry

Was doing laundry today and noticed bleach spots on a towel. It took a few minutes to figure out what happened.
There was a film on the dryer. It was definitely bleach. The smell lets you know for sure. The bleach sits on a shelf above the dryer.
I checked the bottles. One that was not even opened had a tiny leak. The bottom had a small wrinkle (? not sure what else to call it) and the bleach was slowly leaking out.
Got it all cleaned up and only one towel has a few spots. Thankfully I found this before the leak was worse. Trying to get the bleach smell off my hands now.

I don´t use bleach in my garments. I have seen Leticia ruin my clothes too many times.

Nice to know that you were able to see it before it gets to the other garments.

I've accidentally gotten bleach on things, this is disheartening! Especially with it being a bleach bottle, that wasn't opened yet

sorry that happened. Although, sounds like a great Netflix show "The Bleach Detective!"

@CarolDM i am sure they could come up with a great song to go with it. What detective never leaves a dirty scene of the crime? The bleach detective!

Oh great that you found it. We do avoid using bleach at home or any types of chemicals. We’re using alternatives for bleach that are much safer, won’t burn the skin and the lungs.

Yes bleach certainly has a distinctive smell. Good thing you found that tiny leak before you had a bigger problem.

I'm glad you caught it before it did even more damage.
I keep my bleach up on a shelf above my washer. I'll have to keep a close eye in the future to make sure there are no leaking bottles.

Yuk, bleach is dangerous in that kind of way. I saw a guy at the Dollar Tree who was buying 20 bottles. I asked him if he was planning on committing a murder..
. He said the DT was the cheapest place to buy bleach it is 3.00 per bottle most places.
