I was playing bass along with jazz music from an NPR Sacramento CA radio station tonight. I heard a beautiful tune I wanted to learn. The DJ mentioned the name of the musician and the album, but it was too quick for me to catch. Later in the broadcast, I heard the announcer's name. I Googled that name, so I could give the guy a call and ask about the album. I found him. But there was no contact information, so there was no way I could ask him what album I want to buy. A good musician lost a sale. A good DJ (also a jazz musician, I learned) lost an interesting conversation. Is something wrong here?

It seems to me that lately people are talking faster and are not pronouncing well.
Or am I getting old?

@marguichaThat's me in a nutshell. My sister and I almost got in a fight over it and I know why, I try to talk to fast because its what the world teaches now be fast or get left behind.

@crossbones27 Can't we just express ourselves? And listen as well?

Probably media, what did that have to do with it? People have a reason. Some are bad Marketers but that kind of sounds like he does not want to be found.

Many people don't make contact information easy to find so that they don't get a lot of calls.

So who was the DJ/jazz musician? Does that station post a daily playlist?

That was quite a waste, for the musician.

That goes back to the days of 70s FM rock, when they’d play six 18-minute songs in a row, then expect you to remember the song in the middle that you liked.

You have to listen to NPR to hear jazz music? Are there no jazz radio stations where you live?
