Requesting to Work From Home

Its a hectic Monday and it was my schedule to report to work today. I am required to report at least twice a week while my other colleagues report thrice. There is no problem doing that but since Covid cases are on the rise again, its really scary for me to report.
I requested my boss not to ask me to report at least once or not at all since I can consider myself "on call." That means, regardless of my reporting days, there are times that he asks me to report because of a lot of work.
Good thing enough that he said yes. He is considerate enough because he knows that even if I am home I can deliver my work properly.
Had you ever asked such favor from your boss?

With my previous managers, yes. With the current one who is a micro-manager and narcissist, no. Not worth getting a favor from the fiend.

It really is a case to case basis depending on the boss himself.

I am so glad he agreed to what you asked of him. I do not recall that I have asked a favor of a boss before.

With all the work loads he gives me every now and then, I think I deserve that favor.
