This visitor of mine the other night brought back some childhood memories. And here’s another memory I’d love to share.
I was a very curious kid and my curiosity led me to what became a nightly habit before i went to bed when i was a kid. And what’s that habit, you might ask?
Well, I would never ever go to bed without catching a frog first. So my nanny and i would go searching for frogs and the moment i did, i would tie its leg with a string and tie it to a chair. The next morning, the frog would disappear and that would get me too curious again that I’d go hunting for frogs before going to bed again. That continued until i got tired.
I was already a grown up when I realized that frogs didn’t magically disappear and they didn’t untie themselves. Of course my mom had them released after she saw me going to bed.
Any strange habit you’d like to share?

OH yes and that kept men wondering where they went every morning. I think if my mother didn't let go of the frog I would have stopped that habit right away. I did plan to let the frog go when I woke up in the morning.

@toniganzon The frog would have not suffered being captive one night, but your mother thought better to give to the frog freedom.

That is a very strange one.
I think my child likes catching frogs too, but only the little ones.

That monster under the bed never really came to mind. I guess our parents never used the monsters to scare us to sleep. But my nephew now, he’s scared of the monster under the bed.

Oh yes, they were very supportive. It’s either i caught a frog or no sleep at all!

@toniganzon Well, that would make a difference. Having a wide-awake child!

This one i couldn’t forget. I don’t even remember how old i was back then but it was pre-school days. I think this memory was so special that i could never ever forget it. That for once in my life, i was in love with frogs!

my strange habit was waking up my mom in the middle of the night to "get me some water because i'm little and i could spill it and make a mess" just so she would be awake with me
