My sister asked for it

I have a hydrangea plant that I had grown I think year before this pandemic. Thankfully it survived in the pot where it's planted but I make it sure that it's watered and away from the direct sunlight because I noticed that its leaves dry up or wither easily under an intense heat of the sun. Over the months it manage to grow several branches which some of them I cut and planted in other pots but none had ever survive or alive. I'm really looking after to propagate the plant and when I see one branch that is perfect for marcotting so I did even with the slightest knowledge about the procedure. I've done this before as a kid with our guava tree out of curiosity and it was successful. I think it's almost a month and I can see the roots coming out from the marcotted parts. One day my sister chanced a visit and saw the plant. I'd given her once a branch from it to grow but it died down when the pot toppled perhaps by an animal. She got interested about the rooting branch of the plant and asked if it has an owner to which I replied with affirmation. The next time time she'd visited home asked for it insistently that I couldn't resist anymore. I surrendered. The other night she called me that she will send me a flower pot and have the plant transferred in there through my effort. Uh, isn't it too much favor? Anyway, this sister is like a second mother to me so I obliged without protest. I may repeat marcotting another branch some time. In photo is the newly transferred plant in its pot.

Well done for being able to propagate this plant. Hydrangeas wilt very quickly if they get too much sun but mostly they also recover just as quickly when they are watered.

Thanks for using the right term Ms. Judy. I was really thinking hard what it was and there you mention the "wilt". Yes, I noticed that too that the leaves will restore to its normal form once watered.

Hahahahahaha! I guess you can ask for a return - How about a Can't say no challenge with your sister, just kidding, but you both look so sweet as siblings. God bless you both. The plant looks so healthy it looks so green in the picture. Have a great day.
