Do you think you can help people by forwarding emails?

Do you receive emails, requesting to be forwarded to as many people as you can,so that you end up helping someone in distress? Do you really think that emails are tracked and ISP's donate charitably, based on the number of fwd mails?

I have received forwarded emails by friends and family that gave me inspiration and made me laugh to where it made my day. I also forwarded emails to them that did the same thing. I love forwarded emails. They help me learn too :-)
