I have been interrupted in my sleep and on top of that we have crazy high winds. I am tired.
We had pizza left over from our Sunday pizza take out. Tonight we at a salad with it and I had made a custard that we enjoyed for dessert. It was the usual milk, eggs, and vanilla, plus I blended in some cooked butternut squash that had maple syrup and pie spice in it. It was a nice light dessert that was full of nutrition.
Hubby was in charge of reheating the pizza and chopping tomatoes. I fell asleep while I waited. I think I get to go to bed early tonight.
It was nice to have food that was fast.

Last evening we had some powerful winds, also. Those trees were really bending over!
We had leftover pizza last week, for supper one night.

And people here would not think of it any other way. They also would not realize how much alike pumpkin and butternut squash are. I cook both, and I do sweet or savory with each.

I made a crema catalana to serve tonight for dessert, it a custard but you boil cinnamon and orange peels in the milk and let it rest for one hour before using, you top with cane sugar and caramelize the sugar, it's pretty good. Custard is not light, but time by time it's good.

It is lighter than making a pie with crust and it is lighter than the ice cream we sometimes eat. Your catalana sounds delicious.
