The new deck is finally complete. They got done right before the rain started yesterday evening.
Now it will need to rest at least 60 days before it gets a clear sealant. That will make it look much better. And protect the wood as well.
Two noisy days, but so worth it. They did an excellent job. Replaced it and it looks just like the one from 2008. Very satisfied with the work.
Snapped this photo just as the rain was starting. You can also see the screen room I talk about a lot. It is on the left of the photo. It was not replaced.

Ooh, that’s pretty. I love the wavy posts, too! I’ll be down in 61 days to help you break it in.

@CarolDM It's funny, I love anything iron, steel, wooden or stone. 'Rugged', must be my thought!

@Nevena83 The wood needs time to cure. If it is pressure treated wood, it still has the chemicals from the factory. We want the wood to be completely dry so the sealant can absorb into the wood. The installer recommended 60 days, some do it in 30 days.

That's a great looking deck. What kind of wood is it made out of?

Thanks, it is just Yella Wood lumber. The coat of sealant will make it look so much better. Have to wait 60 days. Many have asked to see the screen room. That is why I snapped this view right before the rain. Sl glad we added that a few years ago.
