Halfway Vaccinated.

First of all, I know not everyone is for the Covid vaccines (or vaccines in general). I’m not going to bug you about it, but please show me the same respect because MY decision to take the vaccine is NOT up for debate. Thank you.
So anyway, I was recently deemed eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine in my state. Let’s just say I gained too much weight and leave it at that (but I’m working on it). :-/ I had pre-registered and all that jazz, and I was contacted on Monday to schedule an appointment at a local hospital next week. My best friend stepped up as my mode of transportation to the appointment.
However, two of my loved ones and I were also on a waitlist at our local pharmacy (before I was contacted). It’s at the Rite-Aid we always visit, so they pretty much know us there. The waitlist was for leftover doses that would otherwise be discarded. We were told it may be a while before we hear from them, but of course, we understood.
They called us last night because we’re a 10-minute walk away and they had leftover doses, so of course, we went. It’s easier than trying to get a ride to my second appointment, you know? We received our first dose of the Moderna vaccine, and we’ll get our second dose the week of April 28th, and then it’s another two weeks until you’re fully vaccinated. I did call the other place today to cancel my appointment, so that opens it up for someone who needs a vaccine.
My arm is sore. I probably should’ve iced it or something. I mostly sleep on my right side, and being the genius I am, I let them give me the shot in my right arm, so sleeping was pretty fun last night. I’m tired today (but that could be anything, we all know my sleep schedule sucks), but other than that and my sore arm, I’m fine. It’s the second dose I need to worry about because I heard it can be more intense, but I’ve also heard of people only dealing with mild (or no) side effects, so I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.
Anywho, I was going to talk about post-vaccination on here (while taking precautions because not everyone is getting vaccinated at the same time), but this is already lengthy, so that’ll have to be another post for another time.
Oh, and I was big and brave, but let the record show that I always have and always will hate needles.
Alrighty, I still have two more posts I want to make, so I’m going to wrap this up. You all take care and I’ll be back soon.

Thank you! My best friend got her second dose of the Pfizer shot the other day, and she's not feeling well, but that's to be expected and can happen with any vaccine. I'm hoping I don't deal with that when I get my second dose of Moderna, but I'll make sure I have Tylenol, water and my comforter on hand, just in case.

@tammys85 got curious and checked this is from the net about sore arm after Covid vaccine maybe it can help you
If the pain is significant, apply cold packs over a towel to the affected area for 20 minutes at a time. After the swelling goes down—about 24 hours later—switch to warm (not hot) compresses 20 minutes on, 10 minutes off.

I could go on a rant about vaccines, but I'm not that kind of person. I'm not going to tell you what you can, and can't do with your life. While I personally chose not to get the vaccine (again my reasons are my own), I'll say to you what I say to everyone who talks about getting it... good luck. You could be suffering from side effects, because you can get side effects at any time from any thing. Hence the "good luck" because no one likes feeling miserable for any reason. I also hope you feel better.
