Just a short note to wish those who celebrate Easter a happy Easter this Sunday. For those who celebrate Passover, I hope it was a good one.
When Easter rolls around each year it brings back memories of Easter past. Of pretty little dresses, church services, hidden eggs, and beautiful baskets filled with candy and little toys.
I miss those morning when the girls were running around gathering up the eggs, squealing with delight as they found them. The delight when they opened their baskets and pulled out all the little goodies.
Here's hoping this weekend is filled with wonderful memories of holidays past for everyone.

This season brings back precious memories to me as well.
The memories of growing up and the traditions that we had in our home, and the fun and loving traditions that we shared as a family raising our son. I don't know if we realize it as we live those moments, or if they really just grow sweeter with time, but they are rich.

@HazySue My hubby reminds me that people used to come up to us when we were out in public and tell us that we looked like we were such a fun loving family. My heart was always happy, we didn't have endless piles of money, or anything extraoridinarily fancy or unique, but we had fun.

I've also been reminiscing about those Easters past and how much fun it was to buy frilly little dresses for my daughters and Easter coats and hats.

I remember going down to Wade Park by the Art Museum with my new Mary Janes on. That was the place to be on Easter with your new duds. This was back around 1953 or so. You have a nice Easter too!

Easter is when people would suddenly go out of their houses and go to the beach after church and get drunk! Funny isn’t it? They pray and then would get drunk as hell! It’s the time when i avoid going to the beach coz it’s too crowded. But now, i know there won’t be anybody there.

It is good fridwy today, non meat meals for today, skipped lunch. Cannot attend sundsy mass unless have to register online.
