In 1953 The Stargazers were at number one on the UK singles chart with "Broken Wings" In 1964 The Beatles had the top five places on the US singles chart - No. 5 'Please Please Me', No.4 'I Want To Hold Your Hand', No.3, 'Roll Over Beethoven', No.2 'Love Me Do' and at No.1 'Can't Buy Me, Love.' In 1970 Crosby Stills Nash & Young were at number one on the US album chart with Deja Vu. The album featured three US Top 40 singles 'Teach Your Children', 'Our House' and 'Woodstock'. In 1987 Starship was at number one on the US singles chart with "Nothin's Gonna Stop Us" A song that was featured in the movie "Mannequin" The song was number one in the UK too In 1987 U2 album The Joshua Tree entered at number 7 on the US album chart which made it the highest chart new entry in the US for seven years In 1999 The Corrs album Talk on Corners was at number one on the UK album chart for the 10th time. Another album was at number two Forgiven, Not Forgiven, Both of these albums spent more than a year on the chart. In 2003 50 Cent became the best selling artist in the US this year when his latest album Get Rich or Die Tryin' sold over four million copies in two months.

@prinzcy here is your answer from the net The Corrs sold 45 million records before going on hiatus in 2006. They reunited in 2015, releasing album White Light and embarking on a European tour in 2016. The Dundalk-born siblings released their seventh studio album Jupiter Calling in 2017. Now aged between 45 and 54, The Corrs have eight children between them.

1964 was a great year for the Beatles. I believe that was also the year I saw them in concert in Cleveland.
