Sweet Japanese Honeysuckle Bloom

Noticed the first Japanese honeysuckle of 2021 today. This bush grows bigger each year. The blooms hang over on both sides of the fence. Hummingbirds and butterflies are always attracted to the sweet fragrance. Another perennial in the yard I don't have to maintain. Comes back each year. Snapped this photo in the sunshine and shadows to share.

So the honeysuckle that blooms white is not Japanese? I really am curious...

@DocAndersen I like these, they are a dark pink and later will have yellow mixed in.

There are some white ones that are Japanese. But others are not. There are also some yellow in many varieties.

Isn’t it amazing how some plants just shrug off the cold and others die if you mention the word “frost” in their presence! Lovely bloom!

Can you capture a piccie of Humming Birds sipping? Don't think we get that type of Honeysuckle here, least ways I have not seen it

I would love to, they are so fast, it is challenging. Hummingbirds don't arrive until between April - June, depending on the weather.

The Japanese honeysuckle isn't a common plant here.The honeysuckle blooms in May over here.
