Covid Vaccine for animals!

Philippines

This was shocking news to me this morning. This is really hard to believe. There hasn't been any case of covid19 infiltrating animals. Yet now they have a vaccine? This is crazy! Nope, the dogs are not going out since there's no mask and face shield available to them. Would have been nice if there's a door to door vaccine instead. Seriously? is this even real?
Russia has registered the world’s first vaccine against COVID-19 for animals, the country’s agriculture safety watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor said on Wednesday.#N...

There has been cases at a couple of mink farms in the animals. They think it was passed from the caretakers to the animals

@Letranknight2015 we lack vaccines for people so I doubt if we will have any for pets.

Would you think it's fake if it's coming from CDC? @myklj999 already gave a link to their site. And the video was from reuters.

There have been many cases of animals catching COVID-19, including at the San Diego Zoo. In fact, just last month the great apes at the San Diego Zoo were vaccinated against it, so I'm confused as to how Russia is only just now registering a vaccine for animals since one is already being used.
Orangutans and bonobos at the San Diego Zoo have received a coronavirus vaccine, Nat Geo has learned, after some zoo gorillas tested positive in January.

@Letranknight2015 Maybe it's just getting talked about more here than where you are? I remember hearing about how minks were catching it last year.

I saw that heading too in the news, but didn't read it. (The rich and wealthy would do anything to protect themselves and their pets, hence the making of these vaccines I guess.)

I think this had nothing to do with being rich but I was more concerned about this infecting dogs @YrNemo

@Letranknight2015 (They are not so sure about Covid-19 and pets as super spreaders, are they?)

@Letranknight2015 Many things are not shown on the news. They do it on purpose.

Since there are cases of animals being affected, vaccine for animals is not really surprising.
