Do You Use the Word Can't Often?

I heard a friend once say, Can't Never Could. I thought that was a really profound thought and a great thing to keep in mind when going through life. I don't want to be one who gives up so easily thinking I can't do something.

These days (as I'm older and wiser, I think), I like to think that I CAN do anything as long as I put the time and effort into it - no matter how long it takes (having perseverance can take you a long way). You got this, I know you CAN .

I don't give up easily especially if I really want it

The short answer for me is no. I don't like the word. I don't like the connotation. I don't like the attitude it represents. I can. That is it for me. I look at it this way. "I can't" may well be my final answer when all is said and done. And I am okay with that ultimately. SO LONG as I have TRIED all along the way to get that final answer. As I often say, if I fail having tried, the outcome may not be what I wanted, But I didn't really fail ultimately so long as I tried my best not to. Not everything is possible in life. But nothing is possible if you don't try to make the possibility a reality. And even if never does become a reality... You can't blame me for not trying.

I seldom use can‘t. I mostly say, I can if I want.

I'm not stubborn but I am determined! (That's meant to be a joke!) They're pretty much one and the same but 'determined' sounds better than 'stubborn'. lol

We should try, do our best and then decide whether we can do it or not. Giving up from the start is a no.

Same here I too don't give up so easily. I always try to fight with the situation however bad it is.

Too many mistake can't for won't and assume you are just being stubborn about what you can't do / achieve

I'm very tenacious sometimes to the point where it already hurts and I cry, it's difficult to make me stop once I'm honed in into something that needs to be done or solved.

This always reminds me of my Dad telling all of us, Can't Never Could. So true.

I am much more of a 'Have a cup of Tea and carry on' kind of person when it comes to dealing with life's fun bits!

I practice to always think I can even during those difficult situations. I don't easily give up on my goals.

I like to think of myself as a person who doesn't give up or give in. I plug along and believe that better days are ahead when I'm stuck in a difficult situation.

I am giving up once I know I cannot really reach the stars I am longing to hold... When there's zero possibility already...
