Covid-19 Has Been Awesome!

Sorry, not really. Covid-19 has been awful. The only good thing about it has been the chance for us to be at our Connecticut home instead of us in Florida at this time of year, Our yard is overflowing with daffodils. Unfortunately, some are not where they were planted originally, thanks to the squirrels. However, I have so many that I wasn’t aware of for years, that I took the opportunity to cut some for the house. Yep! Over and over again. Happy not to be in Florida at this time of year for a change!

Spring is a beautiful time of year, after being buried in cold white stuff! Your daffodils are lovely:)

I truly agree! It’s been years since I’ve seen them. Of course the squirrels decided they look better than where I originally planted them. Stinkers!

@DianneN Our squirrels take corn from our neighbors yard and bury it in our yard. Then, the turkeys pass through twice a day and eat it!

Definitely. We haven’t been here in 8 years. I truly miss the beauty of spring here, but would rather be in beautiful, tropical Florida. We loved it there when it wasn’t full of covidiots.

I can't blame you, but then the winter was non-existance and spring is fairly comfy. Thought it'd be far worse, turns out.... not really.

Daffodils are beautiful. They reminded me of a poem. I can't remember the author at the moment but I know I have a postcard bought in England with daffodils on it and the poem.

I have to agree. They are the first , well second, sign of spring around here. Crocuses come first. My snowbells are usually covered in snow.

@DianneN Crocuses came first too this Spring. I have seen them on our walk at the lake before the Spring came.

There will always be bad and good things that happened during this COVID-19 pandemic. Some bad, some good nevertheless, there is always a lesson or two.

Those daffodils must be lovely, The warm and sunny weather has returned to Florida and I finally took a longer walk, My friend's son came with me because I had not gone out for so long I wanted some company for the first time out, I was rather shocked and made him laugh when I pointed out things and could say I remember the first time I saw that it was two years ago lol what this pandemic has done now I will make sure I get out on my own at least twice a weekl.

@DianneN Yeah, that's one thing about spending your winters there. You don't get to see your family as much.

Daffodil bulbs are supposed to be poisonous, yet many of my daffodil bulbs have been eaten by some creatures somehow. I planted lots, but so far, saw only a few last year. (The first year was good, the second year was OK, the 3rd year: non existent...)
