Do you like beef steak with onions?

Germany
April 10, 2021 5:26am CST
Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters Since, the weather is cold I`m thinking of preparing some nice beef steak (Philippine style) First you have to marinate your beef with soy sauce and lemon for 30 minutes. It will help the beef to have a good taste. Then, Fry it until the meat is tender. Then, pour the marinated sauce let it boil for 5minutes and then. Fry the onions separately before combining it with the cooked beef sauce. It is nice to eat it with a steamed rice or garlic rice It is an easy to prepare meal that I learned from my mother when I was a kid. How about you my dear mylotters? Do you like beef steak with onions? I hope you can share it with me here Have a great day and Happy mylotting Photo: google

@m_audrey6788 Yes, it's my birthday on the 20th and I already filed a forced leave from 19 to 23. We're planning to visit a resort in another municipality just a few minute ride from our location.

@m_audrey6788 My son is picky to the food. He doesn't like onion very much. So I will use the blender to mash the onion and then cook it with beef. So he won't find it out

Filipinos call that version of beef steak " bistek" I love that very much, my mother use to cook it for us often, it won't taste as original with lemon instead of the native " calamansi". I love the beef fat with soy, lemon and onions on my hot rice.

Oh yes. We don`t have ``calamansi`` here but I know that it is much better with that. Do you cook it yourself?

@m_audrey6788 I cook and " bistek" I consider as in the easy category. Sometimes I experiment with Western style using A1 sauce or worcestershire sauce but I still prefer our own.

Can I use calamansi in place of the lemons? I don't prepare it because I am now alone in the apartment, I buy it in the carinderia but have not eaten for awhile now.
