Which One Are You?

Being stressed can cause us to change, or do what we usually don't. Some people over eat. I tend to be just the opposite of that. I lose my appetite, and can't eat. I remember about three years ago, I was losing weight so fast, that people were asking me what I was taking to lose weight so fast. I really can't say if that's a good thing or not. Then I hear some say they eat, and gain weight. So thinking about it, which one are you?

When I'm stressed, I don't eat. I don't have the appetite.

@just4him Yeah, that's probably why I use to keep one when stressed.

@popciclecold I can eat, just not a lot. If I don't eat, I'll get a headache.

I am the stress eater . But I am lucky I don't gain tons of weight from it - though I do notice a weight gain. The thing is it's just not good to overeat period - keep that box of cookies away from me .

Both, really. It depends on the situation. Sometimes when I’m stressed I can’t eat anything. Other times it’s devour-the-entire-bag-of-chips.

Never heard a person can be both. Maybe if I could have been both, I wouldn't have been called Olive Oyl.

@popciclecold — I think it’s more “acute” versus “chronic” worry. When my dad was being tested for prostate cancer I couldn’t eat. Waiting on the VA is more long-term, so I can clean a Kroger or two out while waiting.

I lose my appetite often. I hope you can find peace and less stress soon.

I do too. Seems like the weather if storms are nearly every week. Or twice a week.

I am exactly like you. and I force myself to eat sometimes and find once I start, I was actually hungry after all. a lot of my problem is concern over stomach pain which I often have indigestion

For real, I couldn't even force myself. Stress is a mess.

The last time I was really nervous and stress was during a huge presentation where I represent the company. I couldn't eat anything at all. The worst part was it was on the company. I could eat anything for free at the time.
