I got another notice about recalls, this time it's a brand a lot of people use.
Do you have cats?

I have three cats and we feed them meow mix and friskies. But not that size bag. we stick to the 3 pound bags.

@rebelann I have read about the problem, it seems it comes from a Chinese protein export contamination (it seems it is in the wheat). The American brands import from China, not the European pet food brands. I have never heard of pet food recalls here.The American subsidiary of Nestlè also had to recall pet food, because they also imported chicken and wheat from China.

I don't have a cat at this time. I remember when I did have a cat he ate wet food and they had a recall on 4 Lives and since I had bought cans in bulk I got a refund but could throw those out,

@rebelann we watch carefully and read the list of ingredients. We have to switch food for one of the Labs now, because she is older and struggling.

Nope i don’t. I have dogs and we feed them Orijen. A Canadian brand.

@rebelann Thank you kindly for sharing this! That is very sweet of you. I don't think we have that brand of cat food over here. If we do, I've never seen it but we give our cat something else anyway.

Thanks for the warning! We don't currently use Meow Mix, but that is a popular brand. I hope nobody's kitty gets sick from it.
