The Surinam horned frog was named for its horn-like projections atop of both eyes. The frog has a large head and broad mouth. The body is in various colors of brown, tan or lime green. Male frogs have a mic of these colores while females are mostly tan. The mouth is white. The Surinam horned frog had warts on its body and the outer toes are webbed. The female frogs are larger than the male frogs, These frogs are carnivores and their diet includes ants and beetles as well as small animals like other frogs, small reptiles, and mammals. They tend to sit back and wait for their predators hiding among leves and waiting for their prey to get closer.

@prinzcy here is your answer The first thing that stands out about the Surinam horned frog is its size. These rotund amphibians can grow to 8 inches in length and would cover a good-size tea saucer. They are found in freshwater marshes and pools throughout the Amazon Basin, from Colombia to Brazil.

@rasmasandra A wlatsome looking creature, but no matter how ugly a frog may look he is so much more interesting to consider than the woefully inane celebrity culture that society is happy to drown in.
