Can We Conceptualize Another Reality?

It is natural for us to feel we are weighed down by issues not of our making. We try to dodge them or forced to meet them head-on. We wonder why our creator looks the other way as our challenges are never ending. A few revel in uncertainties while the vast majority manage to hang on. I belong to the second category. However, when I ponder about life in general, I have to admit the other alternative of a smooth ride would be too dull to look forward to another day. For example: 1. We live forever 2. All are predictable and think alike 3. The weather is perfect and predictable to an hour. 4. There is no rich and poor and equality reigns every way. 5. No diseases, challenges, accidents. I would wonder then how to be creative, stay alert, and find fulfillment. Without physical death our whole perspective will change – not sure for the better. Maybe, our creator knows best how to keep certain matters his exclusive preserve. Do you look forward to a different reality in our existence here? Image: Life and Death from free media site Pexels

There was an old book that stated that we largely create our own reality, and yet this was probably only spin-talk, to make the reader feel more responsible, as without responsibility, we would feel that we have no power. God hands responsibility to us along with freedom, and the rest is up to us, to either see, the glass as being half full, or half empty, or we even have the ability not to see the glass there at all. Reality stares us in the face, and yet we often close a blind eye towards it. Love creates new realities for us, but we need to see reality through love's eyes in order for us to do this.

Our attitude decides our altitude in terms of spiritual awareness and also approach to facing all the issues here. The challenges then become opportunities. The best is yet to be but we have to rise to the occasion too. Never a dull day is a catchphrase in our lives. Love makes us break down all barriers we have created due to our selfishness.

@Shiva49 We have minor reality shifts all of the time, as change never ceases to kick in. This pandemic is really a reality check for most of us now too. Will we ever return to the old reality, or not? Can anything ever be really returned too, anyway?

@Shiva49 There are realities on top of realities, and I think God throws us a new one when he wants to stir us all up a bit more in his mixing bowl of love.

I can understand. At times things go really wrong for no fault of ours.

Yes, we are going through a harrowing time, so we should cherish the normal more. It would be hard-earned good old times that we had taken for granted.

Absolutely I can conceptualize it. And I hope to be in it one day, minus the foreboding thoughts I have about it.

We can make our world a more livable place. Nature is alive and renewing every moment, balancing to keep creation going. We should chip in as a cocreator too by playing a positive role.

Yes, this reality check has left a deep impression on us that nothing can be taken for granted. We have never had this much restriction placed on us but for our safety only.

Government should have the interest of citizens at heart. However, it is more like leaders putting themselves and the party above citizens' welfare.

I don't think so. Because it's not as black and white as it seems. There's always going to be shades of gray. That's why free will is a thing, and why some concepts are universal. In a lot of ways, we think alike.... more alike then we'd care to admit. If you take history, and break it down to it's bare bones concepts. Can you really say we don't think the same? Often there's one satlution, even if two different people use different methods to get to the same satulution.

Yes, it is clear we have the best of both worlds. We have freedom and nature chips in too to help us look forward to another day with hopes and aspirations. Time too heals. We also have the same goals mostly but take different paths and that shows creativity and freedom. It all makes our lives worth every while.

Hurdles are necessary indeed, but i just wonder why some bad people are lucky in life. But i mostly focus on myself and my family, since we have a lot of problems as it is.

Charity begins at home. Agreed some who have no scruples get ahead than those who play by the rules. Our justice system is porous.

Then life would be drab and dull, too predictable. Challenges keep us alive.

I wonder if living in the here and now is just a rehearsal for what is to come in God's kingdom? I think most want to believe their is a place where all are accepted, we live in peace and harmony, and we enjoy the company and love of friends and family. I hope for this to be true for to have nothing after in a way seems pointless. It all comes down to faith and your observation.. maybe our creator knows best!

To make our lives meaningful, fulfilling, and yet give us freedom in multifarious ways, needs the hand of a genius far beyond our comprehension. It is not easy for us as humans to connect all the dots as there are wheels within wheels within the creative process. I believe we are spiritual beings having a “human experience”. When we live with that concept we are in a different world right here. Then everything falls into its own space and we get our priorities right. It should become a habit. It is said our ego is the stumbling block in God-realization.

@dgobucks226 I keep an open mind and put myself in others' shoes to understand where they come from. An inquiring mind keeps us alive.

@Shiva49 Yes, one's ego can get in the way as it is our stubbornness that we know better that makes those people dismissive on others views regarding God-realization. Yet, as humans we are free thinkers able to form our own opinions on what we believe is true regarding a spiritual life. Perhaps these humans have connected their dots on this topic in forming an opposite viewpoint. They believe the human experience is all there is to be. This is where having faith in God and a spiritual afterlife is uppermost in one's beliefs.

Thanks, it is like our complaining all the time not thinking about the countless blessings we enjoy. To stay alive we need to overcome the obstacles. None is spared. Even trees have to brave inclement weather from time to time.

That soothes our pains. God is with us and his word is bond - what else we need by way of reassurance.
