Excited About My First 2021 Hummingbird

Was outside earlier filling up the bird bath. Many birds were singing in the trees and waiting on the water. While standing on the deck I saw a tiny hummingbird in the yard. Excited is an understatement. I quickly came inside to make the sweet nectar for the feeder. I wait until I see a hummingbird before I put the feeder out. Trying to keep the nectar as fresh as possible. I let the nectar cool in the refrigerator. Then put it in the feeder, placed it out on the bird pole in the yard. Came inside and bam, there was a hummingbird at the feeder. Grabbed my Nikon camera and started clicking through the patio door. A female Ruby throated Hummingbird, the first of 2021. They are very tiny at only 3-4 inches long. Hope to get better photos later. So very excited.
