Wished for a little rain.

Pretty hectic past couple of days - from the bank through traffic to the grocery, my sole consolation is that I have a loaf of bread, two packs of mini monay, chips, kiat-kiat, papaya, and a piling of banana. That's for snacks. The freezer is stacked and so is the cupboard. My doggies have dentastix. Yay.
There was also the matter of going to the NBI for certification purposes, and to the baranggay for vaccine registration of my elder daughter.
Which means I have neglected the care of my garden. The plants are piqued. The temperature is pretty hot.
Which is why I wished for a little rain when I arrived home - to spare me from watering the yard under the searing heat of the sun.
But it's also true - that when it is so hot, rain might just come.
It did.
We had a two-minute drizzle.
Sigh!. I should have wished for a lot of rain.

It's because whenever I say foot of the Sierra Madre, people think I live in Quezon Province or Aurora. I am just in Metro Manila, the outskirts. Ankle is more appropriate.

Oh good thing you got some little rain there. It is hard to have only hot air during summer time. It don`t usually rain here on summer time even if it gets really hot.

That's a phenomenon I am so puzzled about - why it rains when it's searing hot.
I've always marveled at how it rains on Good Friday, sometime after the hour of great Mercy. But it always does, ever since I can remember. Except this Good Friday. It didn't. The rain came Black Saturday.

@m_audrey6788 It is strange but then I wondered that in the real Crucifixion almost two thousand years ago, there was an eclipse at the Hour of Great Mercy, and it rained hard. That's why the people scrambled.
So perhaps the rain on Good Fridays now are real re-enactment of the first Good Friday. Just thinking.

The temperature sears uncomfortably high at noon time. All my windows open and three electric fans swiveling. One for the doggies, two for me.

Glad you had a downpour. That could add a little to the dams. At least we won't fear for a drought later on.
No rain still but the skies are not as clear. No sunshiny bright rays this morning.

And here it is just the opposite, it is so cold Eileen and it is not supposed to be yet it is.
It is only in the 30F and snow coming.
We are in a drought as well, not enough rain has fallen.
Have yourself nice snacks now.

Please do take care of your self. If there is one thing I cannot endure, it's the bitter cold.
Ain't it strange now that there's so much water on earth and we are deprived of this basic human need. I also water the plants in moderation so I can conserve water for the real hot days yet to come.

Definitely not but the heat somehow dissipated. I did water the plants just before sunset. It's cooler in the home now.

Yup. Am already grateful. At least the heat has been reduced. Will still water the plants in an hour.
