Me and my sister (who lost her husband) talks everyday. She told me one time that they went to a children's foundation last year and was thinking of helping them. This foundation caters to special kids, kids that might never be adopted and needs forever assistance or therapy. And my sister is thinking of organizing an non-government organization that will assist people who might need something.
Two days ago I proposed to her that as a support for the soon to be put up NGO, we start a project by sponsoring one child and I will share with the fee.
Today, the foundation send us the confirmation and the child's profile or actually she is an adult now. She is 26 years old but mentally her age is 3 months old.
A fulfilling day for us.

Sponsoring any child in need, but especially a child with special needs whose parents struggle to support them, is a great idea. Are you allowed to visit them?

@rakski Sad to say, yes, I had a feeling some of them were abandoned or voluntarily given up by their family. Good to know you're allowed to visit. That way, you can see how it is run, how else you can help, and also have ideas for your own NGO.

@merrybelle2021 Back some 20 years ago, I was an intern in that foundation. I know before they are well funded but of course, with the growing needs and the kids there increase in number I am sure they would be needing additional help from outside
