First Time to See This Bird

Was looking out the window earlier, watching the birds in the backyard.
All of a sudden this bird landed on the hummingbird feeder. Black and orange. At first glance I thought it was a robin that had just taken a bath. Such bright colors.
I went to the patio doors and realized it was a Baltimore Oriole. I have never seen one in my life. Only in photos.
Could not get to my big camera in time. Had to snap photos through the screen of the patio door, with my phone. Blurred, but you can still see it is a beautiful bird, I hope.
Was so excited again today. Nature has a way of bringing surprises. I hope this one returns.

I recognized this bird right away! Not because I'm an avid bird watcher, but because I'm an avid baseball fan! I'd recognize the Baltimore Oriole anywhere! LOL

Yes, they do resemble a Robin at first. But yep, you captured an Oriole
Have never seen one at my feeder, darn. Really pretty bird! I found that these birds love sweet treats especially grape smooth jelly best, but also orange marmalade or strawberry, apple, or raspberry jams or jellies.
Have to try that and see if it works. Lucky you Carol, I'm jealous
