My son borrowed my phone because he wanted to order online for his snacks yesterday. He complained because he said that his order did not come through so he repeated the transaction.
The order came faster than we thought and while we were enjoying the snacks, my phone rang. My son told me not to answer it because he thought it was probably another delivery. He already realized that there was a mistake.
I told him that we needed to take the delivery because if we did not, the delivery man might pay for his own money. He felt so sorry for the mistake he thought he made. I consoled him but told him that it wasn't right not to get the doubled delivery.
Did it happen to you? Did you pay for it?

I have never experienced accidentally doubling my order online. I take extra care in ordering online because I don't have extra money to pay.

It was my son actually who did the mistake and sad to say that I was the one who paid for that mistake!

@gamayngbaki I actually pitied him because he was really apologetic and even more felt guilty when I told him that if we were not going to pay, the poor delivery guy would shell out his hard-earned money to pay for that. It was also a good opportunity for my son to learn a lesson or two.

@cherigucchi I like it that you did not scold your son for making the mistake

Everyone makes a mistake. I understand why you did not want the delivery person to pay out of his pocket the the 2nd delivery.

It was a different delivery guy. I just wanted not to put him in any trouble.

I can understand that. That was very thoughtful of you not wanting him to get into trouble.

So far no. But like you, I'd pay for it, if it did happen. Snacks look yummy.

I guess my son was also impatient that time and he thought that his first order did not come through

It's never happened to me but a friend of mine drove back to a chain fast food restaurant to give back the change she was given. The assistant gave her too much and she didn't want them to get into trouble so she drove the 5 miles back to give it back and make it right.

That was so nice of your friend. We also need to take into consideration the situation of those people. I just cannot stand causing trouble to anyone especially those who are earning hard money these days.

That's the right thing to do. It's not that big sum of . money that could hurt your pocket, but if yoy didn't pay it's a big loss to the delivery boy.

That was exactly what I thought and I pitied the delivery boy and I felt obliged to pay for it.

I do not live close enough for any place to deliver, so it did not happen here. I agree with you, though. I would pay for the second delivery.

It never happened to me yet. But there was a funny instance last week. I booked a pick up order at Gong Cha so I can get a discount. Searched the store on FoodPanda. Then submitted order. I headed to the store. I was already at the store. I checked the app to confirm the reference number, then saw the store address. I turned around and went back home. It was not the correct store. Ending I booked a Grab to pick up my FoodPanda order. Lol.

I guess it was also a glitch because I saw the notice in the cellphone that my boy used.
