We booked a vacation

My husband and I have decided to visit an island called Roemoe (western part of Denmark) I used to visit that island with my parents and my brother, but I haven't been there for years. My husband has been there as well (before we met), and we would like to visit the place together.
We will stay in a rented house. We are going to visit the place in May and I think that many places will still be closed at that time, but we are okay with that. We plan on driving around a bit. We also want to take photos etc.
I was child when I was there, and I was more interested in playgrounds and toy stores than sightseeing 
I don't really remember any of the tourist attractions or other places that we visited so it will to nice to visit some of those places again.

Yes, things have become a bit better. We are able to travel locally now. Last time we travelled to another part of Denmark we were allowed to enter another region, but we were expected to stay indoors and avoid contact with the locals.
This time we will be able to spend time outside the house we rented. We still have to follow the usual guidelines, but that is fine. I am sure that we will enjoy our vacation a lot more now that we have the freedom to drive around and visit other parts of the area.

@LadyDuck Our restaurants are also open now. It is possible to eat inside the restaurants, but only if you have been vaccinated or if you have just been tested. Everyone has to make a reservation and everyone has to wear masks when they aren't eating.

@Porcospino They are also opening here from Monday, the restaurants will be allowed to serve people, but only outside. We can move now from a region to another, still not cross the border.

I also hope that situation will be better in May. Last time we went on vacation we had to stay indoor all the time because they didn't want the tourists to walk around in the area. This time we will be able to spend more time outside.

@Nevena83 Yes, at that time the situation in my country was much worse than it is right now. I think that some of the places will still be closed in May, but we will be able to drive around in the area, and that is much better than staying indoors all the time

Thanks At the moment they are vaccinating people who are around 70 years old. People older than 70 have already been vaccinated. People with chronic and severe illnesses and people with certain jobs have also been vaccinated. Things are getting better.

It sounds like I’ll be a nice and relaxing vacation. I don’t care for a lot of tourist things either. If there is nice views I like to go and see them take a picture of to and enjoy my surrounding.

We plan on doing that. We just want to relax and drive around. The island is relatively small, but I think there are some nice and beautiful places where we can enjoy the view and take pictures. I hope the weather will be nice and sunny.

@RebeccasFarm Yes, I am very happy that the situation in my country is better now. We still have to follow the usual guidelines, but we have a lot more freedom to explore the area.

@CarolDM My favorite area is the Silkeborg/Skanderborg area in the western part of the country. One of friends lives there, and it is a beautiful area with many lakes etc. I also love some of the small islands.
