Let the Listing Begin

I’m listing the books we have cards for, then going through the library to see which ones we have and we’re discarded, I have a list somewhere of the discarded ones at the library. So that won’t be an issue, the stack pictured doesn’t even represent a tenth of the books we have at the library, in fact I had people come in yesterday, shocked at how many books were there, and I have a few here as well, because we ran out of space, once the other bookcase is put together I will be able to bring the other books back.
Now I’m going to try and find an app that will help me keep track of these books.

I worked in a library for 3 years during high school. I liked the old card system.

I like it to an extent but some of the cards have been lost over the years, books have gone missing, and I want to put some kind of study system in place for kids who may not have that at home, after the Pandemic

Librarians have their system to track all the books in the library. I don’t know what it’s called though. But i hope that you find an app that could help you.

Yeah, this is just for a church library though, generally the bigger libraries are connected to a larger system, I hope so too...

Is your library is a paid service or a free service ?
I know old card method, where you will take the yellow card attached to the book before giving the book to the requestor. And they have to pay some price as security. Once they come back, they will put that Yellow card into the book and return the security deposit.
Yellow card has Book name, publisher name, shelve number, compartment number extra extra with issue identity card no and his name.
I used to learn talk a lot with librarian sir back when I was in school. I can find out new methods if you are looking for one...
I came across a project -- If you have free time -- Do have a look --
