A year ago today a MIRACLE (of sorts) appeared...

Yep, a year ago today Emoci first showed up out in the yard near Scar...just sitting there. Why would I call this a 'miracle'? Simply because for 5 years I had watched Scar try to dismember any cat he saw on HIS property. But here was this black & white thing calmly sitting a few feet away from him...and he was just calmly sitting and watching back. Well, I decided to just leave well enough alone and not bother anyone. Besides, she'd probably go home soon (wherever that might happen to be). Well...she spent all day out there. And all of the next day as well. And Scar never complained. And on the third day she was still out there...only this time she followed Scar into the house when he came back inside. And Scar never complained. And she's been here ever since. Guess I can stop waiting for her to go home, because it appears she is already there.

@myklj999 This is so beautiful! The story and the photo that comes with it. I'm glad they are great friends and now an extra addition to the family. And dude! "Guess I can stop waiting for her to go home, because it appears she is already there." That made me tear up! Don't write such beautiful things like that and make me cry.

@myklj999 People are weird. A family who lived near us (they moved last August), had 5 cats, two adults and 3 kittens. One of the kittens was hit by a car. The kitten needed surgery, he needed rehabilitation, they took care of him during months. When they moved last August they abandoned that cat here. I am taking care of him. Black and white like Emoci.

They’re sitting out there contemplating how to destroy your mind, and Scar figures that he can accomplish it quicker with a sidekick THAT is why she’s there. Happy anniversary, Emoci. You don’t know us, but we know you and we’re your slaves....I mean, we love you.

And what amazes me the most, 'moci looked very healthy from day one! Apparently, she wasn't happy living with whoever the previous owner was. She was looking for acceptance and unconditional love, which she immediately found with Scar and then, from you! Happy First Anniversary, 'moci!'
