Taking shortcuts

Last night for my evening meal I wanted something a little different.
I had small steaks to prepare. Easy enough.
I seared them in a little butter.
Here is my shortcut. . . I buy frozen vegetables and blends. I had a blend of three peppers and onions. I cooked those quickly in the pan drippings of butter and steak, then "smothered" the steaks with the colorful veggies.
As a side, I had microwaved baked potatoes with sour cream. Another short cut.
We had fresh mandarin oranges as well.
It only took about fifteen minutes to put the food on the table, but it was very good.

Those desserts go a long way, but that sounds so delicious.

@GardenGerty I prepare a dessert to serve every evening after dinner. We have a light dinner, but I like something sweet to end my day.

This last year, after several bad results with fresh veggies online, I decided to buy frozen veggies. I use them a lot and have many ways of preparing them.
