The dilemma about medication

Yesterday I started to feel this headache, stronger in the right side, I decided not to take meds and went to bed early in a hope that the sleep would help.
I didn't sleep well and woke up frequently due to the pain and in the morning the headache was still here.
Now I decided to take paracetamol before going to bed, I am feeling terribly tired and I just want this headache to go away.
I am only take meds if I have no other option but now I regret I didn't take yesterday night's.
Do you take meds as soon as you feel the pain, or do you prefer to try something else?

Depends on the pain. I suffer from chronic pain, so it can sometimes take me a bit to get to the point where I feel like I need to suck it down like candy.

I am sorry that you suffer from chronic pain, it is surely a hard situation.

I usually take medication at the first sign of a head. In my experience it only gets worse if I don’t

I usually wait to see if the pain passes before taking something and if it doesn't then I'll take Tylenol

I use to do that too, I don't like to take meds but I think I should have taken it as soon as I started feeling the pain, it's taken more days to pass now.

If the headache is really bad, I usually take something for it right away.

@nela13 Aspirin is a good choice.
