*** 1 min ago Floyd family attorney: "Painfully earned justice has arrived for George Floyd's family and the community" *** Derek Chauvin is GUILTY! On all three counts. The US Justice System got it right! There should have been no worry or nervousness attached, especially in a case like this where the crime is on video and there's absolutely no doubt as to guilt. But this is America. Up until a few minutes ago, we didn't know how it was going to go. Thank God it went the right way. Derek Chauvin guilty in death of George Floyd
Former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty of murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd. Follow here for live updates and analysis.

It kinda helps the conscious and there is annoyance at those lawyers who are fighting for the wrong doer.

@vandana7 That's just a distasteful but necessary part of the system. Everyone has to get a fair trial. A valid complaint about the defense is that they didn't try hard enough to get him to plead guilty.

Something on Video should not take this long in the courts.

@xander6464 At the most, they should opt for confirming authenticity of the video tape. Rest...it is unnecessary fueling of mistrust among the people.

@vandana7 Usually there's no question of the authenticity. The defense doesn't even try that tactic.

Yes. When the crime is filmed and there is no doubt, like in this case, it should take no more than ten minutes to complete the trial.
