Possibly a win-win

As many of you know, I own a house in a west side part of my state. I rent the place to some super good people. I am beyond grateful to those folks on how well they care for the house and its property. The renter called this morning and during our talk, I mentioned that I had a curio cabinet that my hubby refuses to take with us when we move west side and the renters move out. Renter said: OH. My wife and I are interested in a curio cabinet and they cost a lot of money over here. I said that if he wanted to make the drive he could have the cabinet. He said he was for sure interested and would talk with his wife. AND if he comes over here he is willing to pack some of our stuff back. WOW. I have my fingers crossed, my toes crossed, my ears listening for his knock on the door. Ha ha. He would really be a messenger from God if he does what he says he is interested in. I love the curio cabinet but moving it plus our other large pieces is just way too much. I would love it to go to a young couple who cares about it. Perfect match.

You have been lucky to have good tenants. What a nice gesture. And that will be a huge help. Glad it will be going to a good home. It is beautiful.

Thanks. The cabinet frustrates me cause it is not real wood like my dressers. When I try to clean it, it easily gets marred. I have a small antique cabinet that I am NOT giving away. That is rustic and the real deal.

@sallypup I have a cabinet like that as well. Good you have a rustic cabinet to keep with you. They are hard to find.

@CarolDM I love the rustic cabinet. I'll have to take a photo. Its door glass is new but otherwise its supposed to be handmade. Its an odd little piece.

@DeborahDiane I said closer. Not that close. I am moving to Western WA state and that is closer to you than where I live now.

@DianneN Thanks. I told him he had to warn me before he came over cause I have some major packing to do to clear the cabinet's shelves.
