Thick hair

My bushy hair is quite hard to manage. And during summer I cannot simply tie it as I get headache. I cannot wear it very short because it looks like Hermione Granger's. I have rebonded it for years reason why it is so dry now.. Conditioners and oil give me headache. Do you have such hair?

I have hair below my shoulders. I find it more manageable. I had very thick hair but now it's not so thick. I have a very silky hair and so I always need to keep making a bun or just putting them up with clutch. They don't stand there for too long and I don't like hair in my eyes or face.

@Janet357 Thank you. I got lots of compliments for my thick, silky and shiny hair. But with age and my health issues, I have lost some and it's not that thick anymore. Now my daughters have inherited that kind of hair. Reminds me of my young age.

I used to have thick hair. When I air dried it, it would puff up. Nowadays my hair is getting thinner. Hair fall issue. It's like I'm shedding. Even my cats are not shedding.

@Janet357 maybe. I want to trim it a bit this weekend. Too long now.

is it because your hair is long? Hair fall usually happens to long hair.

@Janet357 Yes but ladies are more concerned about thinning of their hair.

I have long hair now. It is still manageable by only using shampoo.

I have thick hair but I have no problems with my hair, I use the flat iron to have it straight.

@Janet357 The hair treatment was damaging my hair, I prefer to use the flat iron and a product to protect the hair against the heat.

Perhaps I will just buy a hair treatment for straightening it.

no. I wanted to have a wavy hair. My hair is not curled by the curling iron. the curl will be there for less than 30 minutes maybe because it is so humid here.

My hair is now just below my shoulders and it's the longest it's been since Covid. I haven't gotten a haircut in over a year and it's getting to be a pain. Usually my hair is shorter

Miss Marilyn, have you tried cutting your own hair? I did it twice using the scissors in the kitchen

Mine is wavy, but fairly thin. I don't even know what 'rebonded' means. And I like Hermione Granger's hair!

Rebond means to straighten hair with some treatments.

@Janet357 Oh I see. I've always been very wary of trying things like that, I don't think they are very good for the hair.

Why is it thinning now? You are too young for that.

I like your hairstyle. Have you tried aloe vera? That is for thin hair. The real one. You just rub it on your scalp. The flesh of it.

@Janet357 I hair gets very bushy and is naturally curly so when it is hard to manage I need a haircut but cannot always get it when that happens. I keep my hair short because I do not look good in long hair anymore.

@Janet357 No, where did you get that idea that it is cold here most of the time? I live in Jerusalem and can only speak for this city and we have nice weather from after winter is over from around April or before and it lasts usually till around November or December and then winter and we had had mild winters. This year during the corona we have had very nice days in winter and some cold ones too.

I have long hair. I keep my hair long because I find it easier to manage than shorter hair. I remember when I still have short or up to the shoulder hair length I had several head bands to keep my hair from my eyes and to keep it off my face. If you have headaches if you tie your hair in a pony tail how about using a head band?
